DESIGN

A dedicated team offers collaborative prototyping and development of products and components, resulting in a final 'design for manufacture' solution that can be produced economically.

PUNCHING & LASER

Our cutting capabilities include guillotine, laser cutting, and turret punches to efficiently handle all your sheet metal needs.

FORMING

Having a well resourced press-shop with a number of sheetmetal forming machines, including press brakes of up to 4m long, turret punches & power presses.

FABRICATION

Fielden Metalworks do light fabrication work, both for discrete products and to compliment sheet metal items.

SURFACE FINISHING

Our onsite powder coating ensures efficient production and total control over finish quality.

ASSEMBLY

We have a range of skilled and efficient product assembly services - including spot welding, MIG/TIG welding, soldering, mechanical inserts & fasteners.

Fielden Metalworks is a Christchurch based manufacturer, 100% New Zealand owned and operated.

Contract manufacturing is our core strength. We provide end-to-end capability, from design input and prototyping & testing through to production and finishing - supporting a wide range of New Zealand manufacturers of finished goods, as well as significant architectural projects.

Our multidisciplinary team of mechanical engineers, engineering fabricators, sheetmetal technicians, and powder-coating specialists deliver scalable, high-quality manufacturing across diverse industries. This capability is underpinned by advanced digital systems, including industry-leading 3D CAD/CAM software, CNC metal cutting & forming systems and a fully integrated ERP platform that connects every stage of production.

Together, our people, systems, and ongoing investment in current technology ensure consistent precision, quality, and efficiency across both specialised projects and high-volume contract manufacturing.

JSM Building & Construction Components include a range of metal products with origins in the Jackson Sheet Metal business, that we design & manufacture in-house for direct sale to the trades.

Maxim Storage Solutions is a long standing brand in the NZ Office Storage market. Our engineering team has developed many products for commercial and home storage that sell throughout Australasia under the Maxim brand.

Perforated Sheetmetal Specialists offer a wide range of perforated metal sheet, available as ready-to-use material for screens, filters, guarding, and more.

As an extension of raw material supply, we support larger-scale architectural metalwork projects — offering perforated designs that integrate into façades, balustrades, sunscreens, and internal features. These can be developed in partnership with our custom design service to deliver distinctive, project-specific results.
