UC Tupuānuku

3 Homestead Lane

The energy centre at the University of Canterbury, Tupuānuku Hall of Residence has been transformed from a utilitarian building into an animated and colourful reference to Matariki and the the phases of the Māori lunar calendar.

These pattern perforated aluminium panels are powder coated in black and provide a filtered view of the backlit coloured wall.
