57 Salisbury Road
Installed in mid-2023, these 5m-high screens feature artwork from renowned Takaka-based artist Robin Slow. The design was created using high-contrast images supplied by the artist, transformed into an array of more than 50 unique perforated panels.
Wrapping three sides of the Nelson Orthodontics building, the four screen assemblies provide a striking visual feature while also delivering solar screening to the glazed spaces behind. The imagery creates a picturesque outlook for visitors and patients while demonstrating how picture perforations can transform functional architectural elements into unique works of art.
